Tesseron Cognac
Cognac Tesseron specializes in high-end cognacs. As their marketing slogan suggests, they only produce “XO and Beyond”, so cognacs from the XO age onwards. From their ancestral home Domaine Tesseron in Châteauneuf-sur-Charente, which lies between Cognac and Angoulême, the Tesseron family traditionally used to sell its eaux-de-vie to the large cognac houses. But in 2003 they decided to release a range under their own family name.
Jack Daniels Unaged Rye
Jack Daniel’s Unaged Tennessee Rye is Jeff Arnett’s exploration into the intriguing flavor drawn from premium rye. It's the first time since before Prohibition the Jack Daniel Distillery has used a new grain recipe. Rye has always been part of the Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 grain bill but it has never been the lead grain until now. It’s a chance to taste the unaged spirit as our master tasters do, appreciating what the grain adds to the whiskey before the spirit draws its flavor from the barrel.
Shellback Caribbean Rum
Shellback is produced in Barbados at the West Indies Rum Distillery, which has been making rums since 1893. The Shellback Rums are blends, comprised of neutral, heavy, and aged light rums that have passed through either continuous or pot stills. Shellback Silver is a delightful unaged rum, it has distinct floral notes and hints of tropical fruits along with a satisfying vanilla undertone. For a rum of this price, it is exceptionally smooth and has a fresh finish.
Jim Beam Jacob's Ghost
Jacob’s Ghost is not moonshine or un-aged White Dog. It’s a special white whiskey, aged for at least one year in white oak barrels and crafted with over 200 years of Beam tradition. Enjoy it the way you would bourbon, or mixed like a clear spirit. In short, drink it any damn way you please.
Dark Horse Bourbon & Rye
Dark Horse Distillery, out of Lenexa has just released two new spirits: Reserve Bourbon Whiskey and Reunion Rye Whiskey. Dark Horse began aging the rye and bourbon in barrels in June 2011. The Reserve Bourbon, made with corn and rye, and Reunion Rye, made only with rye, both clock in at 89 proof. The Reserve Bourbon has vanilla, maple, caramel and smoke notes, while the Reunion Rye has a smooth and creamy character with a spicy finish. Each bottle is hand-numbered by head distiller Patrick Garcia with the batch and bottle number.
