2010 Apothic Red

A blend of Syrah, Zinfandel & Merlot, this plush red is calling for food off the grill.  Black cherry and rhubarb makes this velvety blend stand out amongst its peers of the same price.   Plus the backing of vanilla and brown spice brings home the show quite nicely to make a smooth easy drinking wine.

Dennis' Pick
2008 Januik Cabernet Sauvignon, Champoux Vineyard

"Exotic spices and an impressive array of dark fruit flavors are surpisingly lush and creamy but still substantial and penetrating in the mouth.  Ready to drink now, this one of a kind cabernet is only available at Lukas Liquor Superstore."

2010 Opus One
"A groundbreaking collaboration between the late Robert Mondavi and Baron Phillippe Rothschild, this vintage of Opus One offers flavors of dark fruit highlighted by well integrated acidity, while the round velvety tannins wrapped up in a silky texture.  One for the cellar.

Jodi's Pick
'02 Argyle Extended Triage Brut
"Succulent and mouth filling with expansive and soaring flavors.  One of the top 100 wines in the world on Wine Spectator's 2012 list."

Gruet Blanc de Noir
"Who doesn't like bubbles, especially when it's a great bargain for the quality?  Creamy and crisp bubbly from New Mexico? Don't knock it until you try it."

Bill's Pick
2004 E. Guigal Cote-Rotie
"100% Syrah from a great producer."

Kathy's Pick
2010 Domaine Galeva Chateauneuf du Pape
"Granted, it may be a little pricey, but this 95 point wine drinks now through 2027.  I bought a case and will drink a bottle each year or anniversary and see how it evolves.  It reminds me of my kids.  You think you can't love them more than you already do, but then each year it just keeps getting lovelier and more interesting."

2010 Leese-Fitch
Sauvignon Blanc
Sonoma County, California

Value for dollar, this crisp and clean Sauvignon Blanc is definitely a good buy.  Zesty aroma of citrus and tropical flower is balanced out with vibrant acidity and an oceanic minerality.  Perfect to refresh on the upcoming summer days, zippy lemongrass spice notes are the key to reviving a tired soul.

Dick's Pick
2009 Columbia Valley Semillon

This is a very different dry white wine that is definitely worth a try. The Semillon grape was made famous by the great honey rich sweet wines of Sauternes. Similar to Sauternes, this wine is blended with some (17%) Sauvignon Blanc and while it retains the richness of Sauternes, that’s where the comparison ends. The sugar is fermented away leaving a complex crisp wine, exceptionally fragrant, with natural acidity and tropical fruit flavors. This wine will refresh on its own and is well suited for pairing with spicy fish or any white meat dishes. This wine was a Wine Enthusiast Best Buy and scored 91 points.

Greg's Pick
A to Z Wineworks
2011 Oregon Rose’

When I made this pick the weather was Spring-like and, to me, this signifies the onset of Rose’ season. Now the weather’s been Summer-like which makes this wine even more appropriate. A to Z produces this wine from 100% Oregon Sangiovese. It comes out in limited supply each vintage so, once it sells out it’s gone until the next release. If you enjoy a good Rose’ be sure to try this one soon!

Angela's Pick
2010 Castle Rock Point Noir from Mendocino County, California
This northern California Pinot Noir is medium-bodied in style and ruby red in color. The bouquet is floral with spice notes. On the palate the wine offers up flavors of blackberry, cinnamon, and sweet vanilla. This may not be a “great” wine, it is definitely an enjoyable sipper that over-delivers for the modest cost.
I had this wine with a baked salmon dish and it was quite delightful. Finding a pleasant Pinot Noir for less than $15.00 can be a real challenge…but this one sure fits
the bill!

Sandy's Pick
The Table 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley, California
This wine was constructed by several well known sommeliers to maximize quality over cost. This is a delicious wine, Cabernet Sauvignon blended with some Cabernet Franc and Petite Verdot. The initial impact on tasting The Table is class! It offers a certain rich character that is usually only experienced in upper tier west coast wines. The palate yields up red currents and blackberries with hints of spice, oak, and tannin. With a touch of tartness and acidity, it has great
“mouth-feel” TRY THIS WINE!
